Atari Flashback 2

Found this Atari Flashback game system of all places the grocery store. It includes over 40 old schools classics like Combat, Pong, Hangman, Asteroids and more. I only wish it would have included Pac Man and Donkey Kong, still worth the $20 I paid.

Coke Machine

About two weeks ago I saw this old 1950's Westinghouse Coke machine at the new antique mall in town. If and when restored it would look great in a basement bar. Restored coolers retail for around $2,900. Izzy and I went today to see if it was still available. After very little discussion she convinced me to purchase it. I ended up buying it for $165, a great bargain.

Maharishi School - Dover, Mo

This past weekend Izzy and I took a drive to Dover, Mo to see the old Maharishi Kansas City Capital of the Age of Enlightenment building that they are planning to tear down in the coming weeks. This massive structure is in the middle of nowhere. It was neat to explore, but not as cool we had hoped.

Philco Radio

My newest find! This is a 1940 Philco AM/Police/SW tube radio I picked up for $40. Usually in this good of condition it would retail for about $100. I have a thing for old radios. The veneer and finish are in excellent condition. It will go nicely with my Philco radio/phonograph and the Philco console radio I am still restoring.

Folding Chairs

Two weeks ago I found  these awesome 1930-40 Louis Rastetter & Sons Co. folding chairs at the antique mall. Normally they retail for $20-$40 a piece.  I was able to purchase all four for $40.

The fabric was horrible.

I did a bit of research and found that the original seat cushion was leather. So I have since decided to reupholster with a faux leather and add more padding.

It was actually quite easy to stretch the material and staple to the underside. Total investment was $40 for the chairs and $20 for fabric and padding.
